Parents may homeschool their own children pursuant to Tennessee Code Annotated 49-6-3050. The Tennessee Department of Education requires that parents notify the local school system of the intention to homeschool.
The application for the 2026-27 Tennessee Promise Scholarship is open now until November 2, 2026!
Homeschool and non-public school students who will graduate during the 2026-27 school year should apply as soon as possible! This scholarship is available for those planning to begin college in fall 2027, as well as early graduates intending to start in spring 2027.
